Naseberries. Though our gardener says they are actually called sandberries, because of their size and the rough skin, he says. And it is true that these are bigger (and sweeter) than any other naseberries I have ever had. It is a prolific tree and very tall, so every season we lose some. Fallen fruit.
But some survive. At least for a bit longer.
